Introducing Our New Website!

Welcome to a special edition of the Pelland Advertising newsletter. We are pleased to announce the launch of the new pelland.com website late this morning. After too many references to the “cobbler not having time to make his own shoes”, we decided that we had no choice but to take the time to make our own website look as good as the sites which we’ve been building for our clients. We were all involved in making this site as effective as possible, although the lion’s share of the creative was done by Josh. If you like what you see, we can put him to work on your next project. Some of the features of the new site include Flash animation, a Simple Viewer Pro portfolio viewer, PHP Live Online Support, a direct link to our new blog site, and simply an all around far more contemporary look and user-friendly feel.

Google Interactive Maps

Until recently, maps were time-consuming and costly to produce. Typically, if we had already produced a brochure for a client, we would pick up that file, convert it to RGB, and resize it for the web. Typically, these static maps had to be accompanied by a laundry list of travel directions from various points of origin. Well, once again, Google has provided us with a solution, this time in Google Maps.

Look at these actual “before and after” examples to see how much more effective these would be for your site. The maps are fully customizable to fit any page layout, users can pan, zoom in or out, and generate travel directions directly from any point of origin to your door. Best of all, Google will allow us to make changes to your Google Maps listing, including the addition of your Web address, keywords, a 200 word description … even up to 10 photos from your website!

Would you like one of these on your website? We will replace your map with a Google interactive map AND make any necessary updates with Google (which you will need to confirm using a supplied PIN number in an automated telephone call), including the uploading of photos, for a one-time fee of only $100.00.

Custom Logo Development

Do you need a new website, but your logo is one of your weakest links? Check out our latest client website, recently produced for Pleasant Valley Campground, in Estell Manor, New Jersey. In addition to features such as interactive navigational buttons, Flash based photo transitions, a custom-designed site map, and a Google interactive map, this site features custom logo development from one of the many artists within our creative network. Take a look at the “before and after” logos. Typical fees range from $200.00 - $500.00.

New Content Management Tool

We have a new little program which we recently created that provides a limited content management system which will allow you to make changes to any predetermined location(s) on your website. This would be ideal for posting daily messages on your Home page. We design each one individually so that it matches the overall appearance of your site. We programmed this initially for one of our clients, a small amusement park at the Jersey Shore that needed to post weather-related closing notices from day to day.

Here are the links to our real-time online demo. Please experiment with these to see if this is something that you would like to have implemented on your site. The one-time setup fee is $150.00. You will need to open up two browser tabs to get the full idea of how this works. For the first tab, enter the URL of the control panel page: http://pelland.com/notice/, entering "demo" and "password". Enter the following address in the second browser tab: http://pelland.com/demohome/. As you create a new notice or manage existing notices in the first tab, they will immediately take affect and be visible in the second tab (after you refresh your browser), providing that the current date and time is within the range of the specified "start" and "end" dates. Hopefully, you will not be experimenting with the demo at the same time as another client!

If you have ideas, we have the imagination to implement them!
