There is no better indication of what
Pelland Advertising can do for your
company than the careful examination of
what we have already accomplished for
others. Other companies might make
promises regarding their capabilities,
but nothing compares with a proven track
record. Pelland Advertising specializes
in only two areas: web site development
& hosting services and our original
concentration in four-color process
collateral advertising production.

Pelland Advertising will prove to exceed
your expectations and that we may be of

Most campground site
maps fall into one of
three categories:
Advertising-supported
maps that are printed by
one of the industry’s
major site map
production companies.
These maps look great
and generally cost you
nothing. The down side
is that they take a year
or longer to produce
(because of the time
required to sell the
advertising), they leave
local businesses with
the impression that you
owe them some sort of
return favor, and they
may not be viable for
campgrounds in more
remote locations that do
not have a large enough
base of potential
advertisers or for
smaller campgrounds that
will not be able to
distribute a high enough
quantity to make the
advertising worthwhile.
Homemade maps that look
like they were
hand-drawn on the back
of a napkin and then run
off on a copy machine.
Needless to say, these
do not create a positive
impression.
Site maps that are
posted online but do not
quite hold up to the
quality standards of the
rest of the website in
which they are
contained.
Many of our clients turn to
us for a better option,
where we produce a
professional quality site
map for a reasonable fee and
that can be used both online
and in print. Depending upon
the complexity of the
project, which is usually
directly related to the size
of your campground, our
production fees will run
between $250.00 and $500.00,
with most projects costing
$300.00. For this fee, we
produce a high-resolution
PDF file that you can print
on your own color laser
printer, a medium-resolution
PDF file that will be able
to post to your website and
that visitors may download
more quickly and print on a
standard 8½x11" sheet of
paper, and a preview image
set to any pixel width that
you require. For an
additional and very
reasonable fee, we can
also print various
quantities of your new site
map, in full color and with
the option of text on the
back (typically your
campground rules), that you
can hand out to guests at
the time of registration.
The cost of having us print
these maps on a smooth
coated stock will be far
less than the cost of the
consumables that you would
use to print maps on your
office printer.

site map portfolio.
Pelland Advertising’s postcard products (including all
sizes of postcards, business cards, rack
cards, and more) are produced in an
all-digital, direct-to-plate process.
Our carefully monitored combination runs
save you time and money by consolidating
and sharing many of the costs of
production, without compromising the
kind of personalized attention which
your project deserves. Our standard
specifications include
200 line screen printing on a 12 pt. smooth card stock(not
the thinner 10 pt. stock which is
commonly found elsewhere), with
four-color process and a beautiful
UV coating on the color side of the
card and black ink on the back.
New options include 14 pt. stock,
four-color printing on both sides, and
even UV-coating on both sides. Each product includes one high
resolution digital scan (if needed),
with either a full-bleed color image or
your choice of border colors and title
effects, and each job
includes up to two rounds of digital
proofs(if your time permits),
so you will not encounter any unpleasant
surprises when your job is delivered.
Other options are available, if
required, including expedited delivery
service. All of our products are
printed in the U.S.A., not
outsourced to an inexpensive overseas
labor market.
Postcards are remarkably effective –
and affordable – marketing tools!
If you are promoting a product or
service, postcards represent a less
expensive and more durable alternative
to photographic reprints or the common
sell sheet. If you are reselling
postcards in a gift shop environment,
they offer inexpensive impulse sales
appeal. And if you are implementing any
type of direct mail campaign, nothing
comes close to matching the
cost-effectiveness of postcards.
The basic four-color postcard comes in a
variety of options and sizes, with one
that is certain to suit your needs. The
old reliables are the standard
3½x5½"
Postcard and the slightly larger
4x6" “Gallery” or “Continental”
Postcard (which has actually become the
standard in recent years). Each of these
mails, without pre-sorting or the
hassles of standard mail, for the
current First Class Postcard rate of 27¢
per piece (which will entitle you to
both quick deliveries and address
corrections at no added charge.) But the
real secret behind the success of the
mailed postcard lies in its lack of
an envelope. The biggest challenge
in any direct mailing is to “get the
envelope opened.”
The opening of an envelope is a
non-issue with postcards! Without an
envelope (or its added expense), a
postcard is generally the first piece of
mail which is read, with a message that
usually reaches far more people than the
addressee himself.
If you are retailing postcards in a gift
shop or similar high-traffic
environment, the advantages are clear.
Even at minimum quantities, it is easy
to realize a 100% profit margin,
with much higher margins attained when
ordering at higher quantities. But the
profits from the sale of the postcard
are really secondary to the potential
profit from the basic use of the
postcard itself. Particularly if you run
a business which relies upon high
volumes of customer traffic, the
advantages of what are essentially
testimonials being sent to your
customers’ friends and relatives
(presumably with similar interests) are
truly priceless.
A variety of other “postcard” sizes
serve their own unique purposes.
Business cards come in 2x3½"
“single” size and a “double” sized
3½x4" option. Rack cards come
in a 4x9" size and
serve as a useful substitute for a
folding brochure … at about half of the
price. Then there are 5⅜x7"
“Jumbo” cards, and 6x9"
“Giant” cards. Although these sizes do
not qualify for the Post Card postage
rate, they pack a ton of impact and mail
for the standard (42¢) postage rate,
without the added cost of the oversize
postal surcharge.
Be sure to review our “Tech Specs” for further information on
production requirements and digital
specifications, particularly if you will
be supplying Pelland Advertising with
digital files of any nature.
