Spring 2014 Newsletter
|
|
We are
sorry that it has been so long
since the last Pelland
Advertising newsletter. We have
been very busy in recent months,
welcoming many new clients and
both print and Web-based
projects. We have also had a
very busy trade show schedule,
with early Spring events already
held in New Jersey,
Massachusetts and Maine. Next
week, we will be in Florida,
meeting with Florida and Alabama
campground owners. More on that
below. Once again, we thank all
of our terrific clients, both
old and new, for relying upon
our services and keeping us
busy. Our clients are the reason
we are here!

Showcasing One of Our New Clients
|
|

The Ridge Campground - New York |
|
One of our new
clients is The Ridge Campground,
in Western New York. We first
met the new owners of the park,
Rick & Tina Payton, at the CONY
Convention and Trade Show last
fall, and we have been building
them a solid branding concept
ever since, including a new
responsive website, new logo,
new site map, and business
cards. Like most of our clients,
they quickly learned that our
support does not end with the
completion of a project,
providing a wide and ongoing
range of consulting services on
a no-fee basis. Visit the new
responsive website for The Ridge
Campground at
http://theridgecampground.com/.
In the words of Rick & Tina,
“Pelland Advertising is outstanding! Natural talent and professional integrity shine through with your final products – logo development, website, business cards, site map, and more to come! As new campground owners, we would be lost without your guidance.”
If you are not working with us
yet, and your existing supplier
does not generate this level of
enthusiasm, contact us today.

Speaking of Logos
|
|
|
|
Did
you know that Pelland
Advertising produces more logo
designs than anyone else in the
family camping industry? In
fact, if you
do a Google image search for
“campground logos”, you will
see many of our logos appearing
at the top of the search
results. Our
logos are innovative and versatile
vector graphic files that can be
used on everything from websites
and print advertising to signage
and apparel. Logos are often the
first step in a new branding
campaign and should never be
overlooked. We charge a very
affordable flat fee of only
$300.00 to either design and
build a new logo from scratch or
to reconstruct an old logo that
needs some new life. Two
recent examples are shown above.
Click here to visit the Logo
Portfolio page on our website,
then give us a call to get us
started.

Destin, Florida

As relatively new supplier
members of Florida ARVC, we are
very excited to be participating
in the 2014
Florida/Alabama ARVC Campground
Conference & Expo, to
be held at the Embassy Suites
Hotel and Camp Gulf RV Park, in
Destin, Florida. The event will
take place from May 5-7, 2014,
with
more information and a schedule
available by clicking here.
Our first time attending this
conference, we look forward to
showcasing our recent work for
several Florida clients,
including Fortune Real Estate
and its three Florida RV
Resorts. Pelland Advertising
worked on these projects in
conjunction with consultant
Mary Arlington, of South
Dakota based MMCC, Inc.

We Are Expanding Our Network of Photographers
|
|
 |
|
Many of our clients, both old and new, have
asked us to refer them to
reliable sources of on-location
professional photography, since
Pelland Advertising discontinued
offering those direct services
several years ago. Since that
time, we have been working to
build a network of talented
photographers who are willing to
work on-location, on Summer
weekends, and at affordable day
rates. We review portfolios and
get to know each photographer
before we provide referrals.
This network of talent is
growing, with new photographers
recently added in the states of
Massachusetts and New Jersey.
Several of the photographers on
our referral list are also
developers of Google Virtual
Tours, a significant added
advantage that can offer a
virtual tour of your business
both quickly and at very low
cost. The biggest advantage over
conventional virtual tours is
that Google Virtual Tours are
integrated into Google Places
and the overall Google search
and services network. If you are
interested in photography,
contact us for a referral that
will produce quality images that
can highly enhance our efforts
afterward at building your
business the best possible
website or collateral
advertising.

Keep Your Campground Website Fresh and Up-to-Date
|
|
 |
|
There are many telltale signs that
can give visitors to your
website the impression that it
is not presenting the latest
content. Most of these are easy
to remedy. In the case of
campground ratings, most people
know that it has been two years
since the Woodall’s and Trailer
Life ratings were replaced by
the new Good Sam ratings, based
upon the former Trailer Life
ratings. Our understanding is
that the old Woodall’s ratings
are not even supposed to be
appearing on a website in 2014.
It is easy enough to find your
current Good Sam rating online.
Simply
state, then enter your park name
or zip code. Send your latest
Good Sam ratings to your
webmaster, and let your visitors
know that you take the time to
care about little details like this.

Profit By Walking in Your Customers’ Shoes
|
|
 |
|
Peter
Pelland’s most recent seminar,
titled “Profit By Walking in
Your Customers’ Shoes“, was
presented at the Mid-Atlantic
Coastal States Campground
Conference, held at Bally’s
Hotel & Casino in Atlantic City,
in early March. The seminar was
very well received by those in
attendance. It covered several
concepts that included embracing
TripAdvisor, giving away samples
to boost sales, applying the
economic rules of Elasticity of
Demand to determine the optimal
pricing for boat rentals and
related services, and the
development of a card-based
rewards program.

presentation graphics that
