The Pelland Advertising Newsletter

Early Winter Newsletter

The holidays are over, and most of us are in somewhat of a quiet business season. The off season for many of our clients is actually a busy time for Pelland Advertising, as we produce the websites and print advertising projects that will drive business in the coming weeks. This newsletter highlights some of our most recent work and includes tips that might help you to run your business better than ever!

New Clients and New Responsive Websites

We have launched several new websites since our last newsletter, many of which were projects for new clients who came to us after growing dissatisfied with their previous Internet services providers. Each site represents a custom-crafted, mobile-friendly, responsive site that was built with the unique challenges of each client in mind. As always, at Pelland Advertising we do not build drag and drop WordPress websites built using templates that make a site look like thousands of others. If you feel that your website is being neglected by another company, this is the perfect time to turn to Pelland Advertising for a refreshing change in attitude! Click on any image to visit that client’s new website, or click here to visit the website portfolio page on the Pelland Advertising website.

Lake Huron Campground - New Responsive Website
Lake Huron Campground
Carsonville, Michigan
Includes a new site map, rebuilt logo, and assistance
with a new domain name registration by Pelland Advertising.

“We are so excited about the re-branding of our Lake Huron Campground with a new 2017 brochure, responsive website and redesign of the park map. Pelland Advertising was known to us for its campground marketing services during our prior ownership of the Jellystone Park in Quarryville, Pennsylvania from 1989 to 2013. When we acquired this new park, I had several choices regarding who to use for our new marketing. I chose Pelland for this project because we have seen the quality of the work that they have produced for many of our fellow campground owners over the years and because the company provides 1 stop shopping for all of the services that we needed. Many companies will only do one portion of the project, and that translates into a lot of time on the part of the park owner, conveying information between companies to get the total package completed. Pelland Advertising was able to understand the message that we wanted to represent to our guests and to get this huge project done in a relatively short period of time and for a very reasonable price. Thank you Peter and Josh for providing high quality advertising services to our industry for over 25 years.”
Beth Ryan, Lake Huron Campground

Sundermeier RV Park - New Responsive Website
Sundermeier RV Park
St. Charles, Missouri
Includes secure online reservations and custom programming by Pelland Advertising.

“I was looking for a fresh new look for my website when a friend suggested Pelland Advertising. I contacted Peter Pelland and advised him what I was looking for in a new design and that I also wanted my guests to be able to book and pay for their RV reservations on that site. In speaking with him I felt that I could trust his company to design a bright, informational, and eye catching site that would be mobile and tablet friendly at a reasonable cost. I was not disappointed. He and his staff are easy to work with, very responsive and produce an excellent product in a timely manner.”

“Mr. Pelland and his team were wonderful to work with and we highly recommend them. They did a great job on our new website and didn’t waste any time getting it completed and live. Also, WE were not the easiest to deal with and frequently made changes to the original information we submitted, but THEY were always very accommodating, professional, and kind. They also did a great job explaining technical things in an easy-to-understand way. We also appreciate that any phone calls or e-mails were returned quickly and that they were very familiar with the way RV parks and campgrounds operate — which makes a huge difference. We definitely recommend Pelland Advertising for all sizes of campgrounds and RV parks! Thank you again for doing such a great job!”
Amy Massey, Water’s Edge RV Park

Sunsetview Farm Camping Area - New Responsive Website
Sunsetview Farm Camping Area
Monson, Massachusetts
Includes a new site map, rebuilt logo, CMS components,
and custom programming by Pelland Advertising.

“We began working with Pelland Advertising in the fall of 2015. The company that produced our brochure for many years had gone out of business, and we were in a bind. We needed our brochure to be ready for a spring camping show. Peter and his staff were professional and worked promptly throughout the process. He made a difficult situation easy. Whatever the question or change, they were right there with a solution. They were able to show us cost-saving alternatives to what we had been producing out of habit every year. We received everything ahead of schedule. Our customers loved the new look of our printed materials, and reordering for 2017 was a snap!

“Shortly into the 2016 season, our webmaster retired. We turned to Peter and Joshua to create a new website for us. The result was a great mix of old and new. They customized the site so we can create our weekly newsletter and upload photos. The site is streamlined and modern but retained the look of the old site that our guests always loved. For us, Pelland Advertising has proven to be a great partner, not only by suggesting new and modern looks for everything but also really listening to what we want and delivering our products right on time.”
Lisa C. Adams, Sunsetview Farm Camping Area

More than Brochures and Rack Cards

Although we are probably best known for our work with the family campground industry, Pelland Advertising also provides the same website development and print advertising services to a wide range of small businesses, both close to our home base in Western Massachusetts and across the country. Catalogs and booklets are a big part of the print advertising services that we provide. We design the catalogs, coordinate studio photography, provide a full range of layout and prepress services, handle the printing, are often right there when the job is on press, and coordinate mailing and delivery services. Whether the latest mail order or wholesale catalog for the Mark T. Wendell Tea Company (whose catalogs we have been producing for the past 30 years!), the latest directory for the Maryland Association of Campgrounds, or our first-time project for Techflex Enterprises, we go the extra mile to ensure that every project is as perfect as possible. Regardless of your business, small catalogs and saddle-stitched booklets can serve a variety of purposes, from direct mail to point-of-purchase welcome kits.

Google Maps Virtual Tours

For over 20 years, Peter Pelland provided on-location photography services for campgrounds in the Northeastern and Mid-Atlantic States. Since retiring from offering those services about a decade ago, there has been an ongoing demand for photographers who can take commercial photography to the next level, particularly those who also have an understanding of the family campground industry. Google 360 Tours appear to meet that need, and we are pleased to have partnered with Chris Reidenbaugh, an award-winning Google Certified Photographer based in Western Pennsylvania.

We first encountered Chris when he was shooting Google Maps Virtual Tours for our mutual client, Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Park Camp-Resort at Kozy Rest. Google Maps Virtual Tours bring prospective customers direcly into your park using technology that provides an experience similar to Google Street View. Google Virtual Tours tightly integrate with Google Search, Google Maps, and Google Places. These tours are easily embedded into a website (as we have done on the Pittsburgh Jellystone website), Facebook, and other social media, as well as being found in Google Search results. In the words of Pittsburgh Jellystone’s Gary Quigley, “We were super impressed with the work that Chris did! The marketing power of his product is one of the best decisions we have made and without a doubt some of the best money we have spent to show what we have to offer.”

Under our new partnership with Chris Reidenbaugh, he will be working as an agent to screen and schedule Google Certified Photographers, finding those who have been proven to possess the necessary skills and understanding of the family campground industry, for assignments at campgrounds throughout the United States. Existing and new Pelland Advertising clients will receive an exclusive industry discount on those services. Take a look at the Google 360 video, embedded below. Take a virtual tour like a prospective guest. Enter the cabin, look around, then take a walk around the grounds. To see these Google 360 videos in place, visit our recently-launched new website for Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Park Camp-Resort at Kozy Rest.

Chris will be at the Pelland Advertising booth at the Northeast Campground Association’s 2017 Northeast Conference on Camping, to be held at the Radisson Hotel Nashua, in Nashua, New Hampshire. The conference trade show will be held on March 17 and 18, 2017. Click here for more information and registration materials for the Northeast Conference on Camping.
