Pre-Conference Newsletter

This has started out as an interesting week here in the Northeast, with a late-winter blizzard yesterday, and a freshly fallen blanket of snow just 5 days before the official start of Spring. The sun is shining now, and we are looking forward to heading to Nashua, New Hampshire for the 53rd Annual Northeast Conference on Camping! The event will be held from Thursday, March 16 through Saturday, March 18, 2017.

Of course, a few more details need to fall into place at the last minute. For example, Josh Pelland has been stuck in an airport hotel in Chicago since Monday, on his way back from a skiing vacation out West, but he is anxious to be there in Nashua. If you own or operate a family campground anywhere in the Northeastern or Mid-Atlantic States, the place to be later this week is the Radisson Nashua Hotel. There is still time to register on-site at the last minute, directly at the conference registration desk at the hotel during the event. On a tight schedule or a tight budget? Any campground may register a staff of up to 4 persons to attend the trade show and seminars on either Friday or Saturday for only $50.00 per campground. Pelland Advertising Combines Forces to Offer You More

We like to think that we are the best at what we do, with that being the development of custom-designed responsive websites and the production and printing of a full range of four-color collateral advertising. Those print projects include brochures, rack cards, and site maps for our wide range of campground clients. We are not jacks-of-all-trades. When we feel that there are essential services that our clients need but that we do not offer, we have chosen to partner with fellow professionals with proven track records. Visit us this year at Booth # 8, in the first aisle of the trade show hall, for a few surprises. Introducing Google 360 Photographer Chris Reidenbaugh

We first worked with Chris when he produced a series of Google 360 virtual tours for our award-winning client, Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Park at Kozy Rest. Google Virtual Tours tightly integrate with Google Search, Google Maps, and Google Places. These tours are easily embedded into a website (as we have done on the Pittsburgh Jellystone website), Facebook, and other social media, as well as being found in Google Search results. We immediately recognized the quality of the work that Chris was producing and the need for professional photography and virtual tours that he could meet.

Under our new partnership with Chris, he will be working as an agent to screen and schedule Google Certified Photographers, finding those who have been proven to possess the necessary skills and understanding of the family campground industry, for assignments at campgrounds throughout the United States. In many instances, he will be taking on assignments himself. Chris will be driving up from Pittsburgh (as a result of flight cancellations) so that he can be with us at our booth. Chris will be demonstrating how Google Maps can help parks to drive new campers to their websites, where they will ultimately make reservations. They will also learn innovative ways to use virtual reality to attract campers to their parks.

Chris will come prepared with two sets of virtual reality goggles and will have a stack of Google-branded promotional items, including $100.00 Google AdWords incentive coupons. Chris will be offering a 5% discount on his services at the NCA Conference, in addition to an exclusive 10% discount that is offered to Pelland Advertising clients!

We are also very pleased to introduce our clients to Florida-based Insider Perks. Headed by Brian Searl, the company provides an exceptional level of services in Reputation Management, Social Marketing, and Listing Distribution. Not Based in the Northeast? See Us Next Week in Colorado!

Although our roots are in the Northeastern United States, Pelland Advertising serves a network of family campgrounds from coast to coast. We are Peak Level industry supplier members of the Colorado Campground and Lodging Owners Association, and we will be pleased to be attending its “Monumental Junction” Conference, from March 24 through 26, 2017. The event will be held in Grand Junction at the Courtyard Grand Junction Hotel. Peter and Joshua Pelland will be there, where we look forward to meeting with our existing and new Colorado clients!

We hope to be seeing you in either New Hampshire or Colorado. If you will not be attending either of these events, we will also be looking forward to the next National ARVC Outdoor Hospitality Expo this fall in Charlotte, North Carolina and the KOA Expo in Phoenix, Arizona.
